Uploading Images

Before we can host images for your eBay listings, you must upload them from your hard drive.  Your images should be between 20KB and 100KB before uploading.  If the image files are larger than 100KB, we will reduce their size (if needed).

Auction Hawk resizes images automatically to fit snugly into your listings and gallery.  This does not affect your picture quality.

You may upload images up to twelve a time.  Advanced users may upload up to 5MB at a time using WinZip, or 50MB at a time using FTP (click here).  Here are details on each method:

Method 1.  Uploading images twelve at a time:

  1. Decide whether you want to upload your images all at once, or as you make each listing.  If you have a lot of listings, we recommend uploading all of your images first.  We generally recommend that you upload all of your images at the same time, rather than uploading images for each individual listing.

  2. Click any Upload Images button, and then click a BROWSE button.

  3. Select an image from your hard drive to upload.

  4. Repeat this process for up to 8 images.

  5. Choose a folder you made previously. Or, select CREATE NEW.

  1. Choose whether or not to constrain your images for a more stylized look in your listings.

Note: The images that you upload will appear as the default images for your listing.  ??

method 2.  Uploading images 5MB at a time using WinZip:

  1. Click any Upload Images button, and then click a BROWSE button.

  2. Select the WinZip file to upload.

  3. Choose a folder and whether you want to constrain your images (see above).
