Images appear fuzzy?
Auction Hawk does not compromise your images in any way. However, some images may appear distorted or fuzzy when they are viewed as a thumbnail, or as a preview image.
There are really only two reasons your images might appear fuzzy:
If the image is less than 400 pixels on one side, it will be "stretched." Auction Hawk tries to fit your images inside a 400 x 400 box, so that the image is attractive in your listing. To avoid stretching, please ensure that your images are at least 400 pixels on a size before uploading. In this case, the image is not compromised; your browser is stretching it so that it appears within the box.
If the image is greater than 200KB, we will try to optimize it a bit by using a shrink process. The shrink should not change the quality of your image, however it will try to reduce the number of bytes that it uses. This step is done so that your image loads very quickly, which in turn keeps your buyer's interest. (Images which are over 200KB require over 4 seconds each to load over your buyer's 56K modem connection
