Doing your own HTML
Advanced users sometimes wish not to use our Dynamic HTML editor which allows you to create fancy descriptions without knowing HTML. However, power users may wish to disable it.
You
will probably want to disable
the HTML editor (in your preferences) if you often cut and paste your own HTML, or if you
use
a program such as FrontPage
or GoLive (which
help you design
your own HTML).
If
you continue to use the HTML editor, then you will need to make sure
and paste into the frame while you are in HTML Mode, NOT View Mode. For
more details of HTML vs View mode, click
here.
If you decide to disable the HTML editor, then you may want to
consider using the custom layout called "Custom HTML",
which was created for that purpose. This special layout will not add any
of Auction Hawk's HTML at all (except for the counter). Also,
it does not carry over the shipping and payment preference information.
